Japanese swordsman Isao Machii holds several world records, including for fastest thousand martial-arts sword cuts and fastest tennis ball cut by sword. He’s putting his skills to the test against Yasawa Electric Corporation’s Motoman-MH24, which the corporation has designed for automating assembly, packaging and dispensing. Machii never gets around to impaling the sword-wielding robot, but its ability to mimic him is impressive nonetheless.
