Owen Shroyer thinks that the Democrats were caught flat-footed when Kevin McCarthy chose not to run for Speaker again, like he did 15 times last January. They thought he would go for it again and that they could use more leverage against him but instead, he folded.
Owen says the evidence for this is in Chuck Schumer’s complaint that “bad” history was made when a “small band of MAGA extremists plunged Congress into pandemonium.”
To which Owen says, “Total, over-the-top confirmation that good history was made by Matt Gaetz. But Chuck, every Democrat voted to remove McCarthy, as well! Are they radicals? Are they extremists?”
