This B.A.S.E. jump, from the new Freedom Tower, on the site of the old World Trade Center Towers was made at 3 a.m. on September 30, 2013 and it was posted yesterday to YouTube.
The helmet cam shot of the jump and perfect landing is glorious. As he nears the over-passes on West Street, it reminds me of how I used them to go to the grocery stores in Battery Park City, as an alternative to the one in the Seaport.
To see my old neighborhood, gleaming and cleaned-up through the lens of this madman warms the cockles of my heart…even if it is only the external veneer of what is actually going on within many of those buildings that house the financial institutions, that have a stranglehold on the lives of almost all people on this planet…
