Snow samples taken just the other day in Fukushima show extremely high levels of cesium 134 and 137.
Professor Christopher Busby, an expert on the effects of longterm exposure to low doses of radiation says, point blank that the Fukushima Catastrophe is the worst nuclear disaster in history. He says that a radius of at least 200 kilometers around the destroyed plant (which includes Tokyo) has been contaminated.
He says that what is occurring in Japan is a virtual replay of what occurred in Chernobyl and surrounding Belarus, where the radioactive cesium destroyed the walls of the children’s developing heart muscles, affecting their electrical conductivity, resulting in early heart disease and deaths from same. The only difference between these two scenarios is that Fukushima is affecting far more people, which is why he calls it “the worst.”
Busby is the father of seven children and the grandfather of eleven and he says that he can’t just sit back and watch this “tennis match” between the claims of the Japanese government’s scientists, who are trying to save the nuclear industry from collapse and those of independent scientists, who say that there is something terribly wrong here. This is why he speaking out about things that people can do to empower themselves.
First, is for those in affected areas to measure the radiation levels themselves – because, frankly the Japanese government is not to be believed. Secondly, the children in affected areas need to be taken away to areas that are reasonably safe – but this solution is getting complicated by the fact that right now, the Japanese government are trucking large amounts radioactive soil and other radioactive materials from Fukushima and spreading them around — all over the country.
He says there is a very sinister and horrifying reason for this: The babies and children of Fukushima who were exposed to the meltdown during a crucial moment in their physiological development, will soon grow up with cancers, birth defects etc. They will die young and their parents will sue the government.
The Japanese government is preparing for this by creating measurable evidence in soils from different parts of the country to use as “control” samples for what would constitute “normal” levels, to be compared with the samples taken from Fukushima.
The Japanese government would thereby attempt to prove that radiation from the meltdown is not to blame for these children’s health conditions and early deaths. Thus, they seek to absolve themselves of any liability for the thousands of claims against them, that will surely come in about 15 year’s time. In so doing, of course, the Japanese government will be raising the cancer levels throughout Japan, which is utterly mind-bending.
Still, he advises parents of young children in affected areas to look for safer places to take them and also to follow a dietary regimen that helps to block the absorption of cesium, strontium 90 and plutonium and other noxious substances, which the government is not officially even measuring, at all.
Stable iodine has been shown to be effective against the radioactive nuclides and asimilar approach can be taken with uranium, plutonium and strontium 90 — which are the most serious because they are alpha- and beta-emitting particles. Busby says, “We can block their binding to the DNA with large amounts of calcium and magnesium, which bind to the DNA and keep the radioactive particles off.”
The Christopher Busby Foundation has been set up, which will distribute stable calcium tablets and another tablet to counteract the high amounts of cesium released in the atmosphere; they will also be purchasing a large amount of radiation measuring devices, so that the people can see for themselves when there is dangerous levels in foods. Finally, the Foundation will be building a lab, where people can bring in and compare their readings, so that truth can come out as to what is *really* going on with the radiation levels of places and produce in Japan.
He says, “This is an operation to save the children of Fukushima” and obviously, he will need help because the Japanese government is not helping them at all, instead, ‘They are helping the International Nuclear Energy Industry.”
Busby, although he looks rather laid back with his ever-present beret, he has an impressive CV. He is currently a visiting professor at the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ulster and he was a National Speaker on Science and Technology for the Green Party in England and Wales. He Graduated with a degree in Chemistry and Honors from the prestigious University of London and later obtained his PhD in Chemical Physics at the University of Kent.
Busby was a member of the Committee Examining Radiation Risks from Internal Emitters (CERRIE), which operated from 2001 to 2004. In 2001, he was appointed to the UK Ministry of Defence Oversight Committee on Depleted Uranium (DUOB). Between 2003 and 2007 he was a Fellow of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Liverpool, in the Department of Human Anatomy and Cell Biology.
His comments about the Japanese Governmnet have been met with a great deal of derision, as have his claims that radiation damage can be prevented with the ingestion of key minerals. Who’s side are you on?

Dr Busby describes measurements made on an air conditioning unit filter from inside an apartment in central Tokyo. This was sent by a lady in Tokyo who wanted to know if it was safe to live there. The filter only collected air from inside the apartment. It shows the presence of 130000Bq/kg radio Cesium in the dust plus enriched Uranium and for the first time Lead-210/Polonium-210. The apartment was evacuated from the Tuesday after the catastrophe and the machine switched off; and the family returned 5 months later.
