This is an abomination that I am still trying to absorb.
This video was taken over the past weekend after the ‘No War With Syria Rally’ in Philadelphia, PA.
Emily Yates, a United States Military Veteran, toting that most American of musical instruments – a banjo – was enjoying the shade under the trees, when she was arbitrarily asked to move by Federal Parks Police.
When she asked why she could not stand there, four officers, in unison attacked and restrained her physically, although she was doing nothing in the least bit menacing, let alone illegal. She was arrested and brutalized by an increasing number of officers, who piled in and handcuffed her for no good reason, whatsoever.
At 1:16 on the film, it sounds like one Park Ranger is making fun of the innocent woman they’re attacking, by asking his colleagues, “IS SHE A FISH, GAME, OR WILDLIFE?”
