    China is facing an array of social dilemmas including a widening gender imbalance, decreasing fertility rate and an aging population.

    At the root is its controversial one-child policy, which some people allege is enforced by criminal thugs. Others have had their children kidnapped by the government and sent away for abduction.

    China is now considering relaxing this law.
