Aldous Huxley was the brilliant author of “Brave New World” and the “The Loved One.”

Here, with his Old School, fancy-pants British accent, he describes the fundamental battle between the autonomic, “reptilian,” survival-based part of the human brain, located closest to the spinal column and the neocortex, which literally means the “new rind,” because it is considered to be a newer development within the human species – and because it’s location is similar to that an orange peel, around the rest of the brain.

The neocortex is involved with the brain’s higher functions, including spatial reasoning, conscious thought and language.

  • I refuse to listen to monsters like this creature. I have been on their case since I saw their tinfoil spaceship in 69… and I am fucking tired.

    Best wishes
