This is a fascinating interview with Dr Leary in Millbrook before he was labeled crazy or became an FBI informant. In his early years we was lauded as brilliant in the media.

When Dr. Leary said that LSD wasn’t a drug, he didn’t mean that literally. He just meant that it was receiving an unfair stigma — especially compared to alcohol, tobacco and the opiates. Ever since Shakespeare, the term “drug” has meant “harm-causing” to too many people, most of whom use dangerous drugs all the time.

Listen to the caution that he recommends and the system of control.
