Author Michael Parenti wants the people of earth to fight against the forces of privilege, militarism and wealth.
The most common source of media distortion in relationship to the Occupy movement has been omission. National Public Radio, for example, went two weeks without mentioning Occupy but were constantly mentioning relatively small numbers of Tea Party protesters.
Parenti sums up the mainstream media skepticism as being tantamount to the disgust that hippies faced. “It’s not clear what they even want!” the refrain obnoxiously said.
