“They shoot people and they’re not culpable at all, and it has to stop,” says Weed Country’s Mike Boutin. Featured on Discovery Channel’s new show, Boutin grows marijuana in the emerald triangle and is constantly faced with the threat of federal prosecution.
Boutin considers himself a vigilante, fighting back against drug prohibition. “I really didn’t want to live in a world where they haul people off to jail for using a substance that’s safer than alcohol” says Boutin.
