One NPR listener believes in mystery. Another believes in family. Another lives believes that ordinary life is amazing.
One man is serving a sentence of 60 years. Many prisoners deny that they have done any wrong.
He says that he spent 20 minutes scratching a kitten. What that kitten felt grateful about the prisoner felt inside himself. Over the next few days he watched prisoners gather around the cat, feeling grateful to give to the cat.
They provided bowls of milk and water to the cat. It was treated like a king.
