Here is a discussion about science, society, and the universe with Stephen Colbert, who is out of character, at the Kimberley Academy in Montclair, New Jersey.
What Tyson sees through his telescope and in his math equations is deeper, more profound, and more beautiful than anything entrenched, biased worldviews can hope to produce. Science is beautiful because it deals in the realms of reality, not metaphysical fictions. Perhaps there is as much meaning in the night sky than as in a lifetime of seeking Nirvana.
