We’re sorry to say that in the United States owning native birds as pets is illegal. If you want to bathe your crow — or let her bathe herself — in your tub, you may have to shell out the big bugs to get crows from Africa.
The all-black African Pied Crow will usually run you over $1,000. These animals are notoriously intelligent, though, and flock to humans — albeit usually keeping their distance.
Few people are aware of how amazingly intelligent crows are. Some have linguistic skills rivaling that of parrots. I have had a few subscribers write in and tell me the craziest stories of crows carrying on long, cogent conversations with them!
