Golden eagles are among the largest birds on earth but know when to save their energy. In this footage, an eagle doesn’t waste any time trying to kill a kind of mountain goats called an ibex using its talons. Instead it approaches a young, or possibly just female, ibex at a the edge of a cliff and pulls it down the side, guiding the ibex over rock formations jutting out. And then in an impressive display of strength, the eagle carries the ibex’s carcass.
