This episode of ‘In The Know’ begins its discussion with the question, “Most videogames take place in a dangerous post-apocalyptic environment — but are they doing enough to train our kids to live in the post-apocalyptic future that we will all soon face?”
Some pundits argue that since today’s kids are going to be spending the rest of their lives getting real experience in desperately fighting for survival that it’s only important that they’re given the fundamentals to be successful in whatever nightmare scenario they will find themselves in.
Simply put, playing videogames alone and in solitude is the best way that we have to prepare our kids for how to survive in a barren wasteland.
