In medieval Europe there were peasants — supposedly toiling all of their difficult lives, little better off than slaves. They were supposedly diseased, powerless, downtrodden and filthy.
Why would someone want to have been a medieval peasant?
But these are only guesses because the peasants didn’t leave behind much record of their lives. But one time, in the summer of 1381, peasants certainly left their mark on U.K. history. A revolt ensued.
