Increased levels of CO2 are making the Earth greener – but that might not be a good sign for the environment, according to a recent study, which shows that, contrary to what one may suspect, just in the past 33 years, the planet has gained a green continent, twice the size of the continental United States.
70% of the increased growth was attributed to the “CO2 fertilization effect”, whereby increased levels of CO2 during plant respiration boosts photosynthesis, allowing plants to grow bigger. The effect wears off, as plants adjust to the new levels of CO2.
The greening is claimed to be a bellwether for how much CO2 has been added to the atmosphere, which is a driver of climate change, which is supposed to be bad news.

Wow! It must be true because that was the fastest 83 minutes ever! Good news for over population as well. More greens for more people to eat.
Oh My God!! The New World Order will need to tax the world’s people for breathing all that extra Oxygen!!! We need an oxygen footprint penalty established right away!!! Calling All Bilderburger”s, “This is not a Drill!!!”
I can’t believe you folk, you’re becoming worse than brasscheck. You seem to be on board for all the bull-crap. Get over it, CO2 is good for the Earth. There has never been such a thing as an excess of CO2. I was writing about the increase in vegetation in the deserts of the world a couple of years ago, it always occurs after a warm period, not once has it ever been shown to happen before a warm period, all of the smart people understand full well that the IPCC is going to pretend that it was because of a Carbon Tax when the forecasted cold period kicks off. They think we are all stupid. Are you?
I fail to see the problem. Sounds like a natural control system. The plants soak up the excess co2 and return it to the ground.
