Zecharia Sitchin wrote that Sumer was the parent of all known civilizations that exist today and that even things not generally noted like Chinese characters are based on the ancient cuneiform script of the Sumerians. We measure time in the same 12-60 base that the ancient Sumerians did. It’s quite shocking how many features of our civilization were established by the ancient Sumerians over 6,000 years ago.
The narrator of this very interesting new video says that if we gave as much heed to Sumerian cosmology as we do to the other fundamentals that they bequeathed to us, we would definitely telling another story about ourselves.

The character for “to create” consists of the elements of the Bible’s Genesis 2:7–And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Dust, mouth (for breath), breath/spirit, and walking (a living soul–Adam stood up and walked).

I’d suggest the Annunaki story, while historical, has misinterpretations. For example, if Nibiru were feasible, how would the planet’s temperature remain within life-sustaining range long enough for life to not freeze before evolving? Also, the cataclysm mentioned in the Sumerian texts is prolly just the comet that hit in 11,450BCE (whenever..).
Given th3 Asteroid belt and the Exploded Planet hypothesis, I’d say it’s possible the Annunaki were NTs in a war that destroyed their planet and they came to Earth to re-colonize their people. Their monkey man plan didn’t go as expected, and the genetically engineered human hybrid overthrew their overlords.
So many possible interpretations, we’re all guessing.
