Derren Brown gives an elegant demonstration of a “script,” as its known in the neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) community, which (apparently) convinces British actor Simon Pegg to spontaneously express his lust for a BMX bike.
NLP is a well-known technique in advertising and sales, as well as within a cottage industry of how-to-win-friends-and-influence-people fast-talkers, some of whom are just trying to pick up dates. NLP is subtle suggestive device used to convince you to buy products or befriend others.
