Former China residents and longtime YouTubers, Winston Sterzel and Matthew Tye of the The China Show play footage of a Haier manufacturing plant that was set ablaze by disgruntled workers who hadn’t been paid in six months.
They say this is one of many incidents that have started happening daily of unpaid workers inflicting tens of millions of dollars of damage to their employers, as seen here.
Other factories have been destroyed, they believe, due to insurance fraud. Trump’s tariff war has been limiting Chinese exports, causing a collapse of the Chinese Middle Class, weakening the Chinese domestic market for home appliances.
Some manufacturers have sought to desperately cash-in.
