Skylar Tibbits is shaping the next generation of 3D printing: 4D printing: How to program physical and biological materials to build themselves.
This technology that is under development will print objects that actually reshape themselves or self-assemble over time.
Fpr example: a 3D-printed flat shape, that folds into a cube before your eyes, or a printed house plumbing pipe, that’s able to sense the need to expand or to contract appropriately, based on ambient temperature.
