Luke Rudkowski is back with a report on the mass protests throughout France, in response to Emmanuel Macron’s decree on compulsory vaccinations for all those over the age of 12 to access public places including restaurants, movie theaters and long-distance trains last week. This goes into effect as soon as July 21st in some places.
Macron announced, “You’ve understood – vaccination is not immediately obligatory for everyone, but we’re going to extend the health pass to the maximum, in order to push a maximum of you to go and get vaccinated.”
Violators face 6 months in prison and business owners allowing the non-vaccinated to enter face a year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.
The decree is in response to the increase in COVID cases due to the “Delta Variant”. Meanwhile, it’s been clearly shown that districts with the highest vaccination rates are now showing the highest rates of new COVID cases, as in California, which is now re-instating mask mandates and lockdowns, although it is heartening to know that Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva announced that the order is “not backed by science,” and that it contradicts guidelines from the CDC, which does not prescribe masks indoors for most vaccinated people. The Sheriff added that he “will not expend our limited resources” and that his office instead asks for “voluntary compliance” from the public.
