We live in a world of screens. The average adult spends the majority of their waking hours in front of some sort of screen or device. We’re enthralled, we’re addicted to these machines. How did we get here? Who benefits? What are the cumulative impacts on people, society and the environment? What may come next if this culture is left unchecked, to its end trajectory, and is that what we want?

Stare into the Lights My Pretties investigates these questions with an urge to return to the real physical world, to form a critical view of technological escalation driven by rapacious and pervasive corporate interest.

Covering themes of addiction, privacy, surveillance, information manipulation, behavior modification and social control, the film lays the foundations as to why we may feel like we’re sleeprunning into some dystopian nightmare with the machines at the helm. Because we are, if we don’t seriously avert our eyes to stop this culture from destroying what is left of the real world.

This film was made with no budget, is not-for-profit and is released to the world for free for the purposes of critical discourse, education, and for cultivating radical social and political change.

    • Are they waiting for the bus?
Which kind of bus could come along?
There is a bus on the road of nuclear splitting.
There is a bus on the road for nuclear fusion.
Any human being is a split nucleas, because of the big bang.
However now the possibility arises to heal this inner splitted being.

Love is love when love heals…………

    • I watched this by pasting the YouTube link into my browser. Thanks for posting, this is great information. I do feel though, that film makers need to include alternative ways of thinking and behaving as well as the horror story. Useful to roadmap some positive action. Also the blame is often aimed at banks, corporations and governments but never extends higher to the super secret groups. Imperialist values are still linked just to nations and not to these groups. And finally it would be great if the free energy question came up more often. It’s so central to any discussion about control.

      • Debbie,

yes, the concern is indeed free energy.
I perceive a technical free energy and a human free energy.
Human free energy appears by love.
When technical free energy still hinders human love, it is useless.

        • Btw the teenagers that I used to teach were just as excited about other things as they were their phones if that’s any comfort. But I appreciate what this documentary is saying, the manipulation that’s at work on us is horrifying.

          • Debbie,

concerning manipulation. In general I see an universal manipulation in two ways. The one of devision and hate. The one of healing and love, where this kind of manipulation has this moment on earth very less influence. Here my question is: why is this so?

            • We don’t even know how loving and kind we are. We’ve never been left alone, we’ve always been manipulated.
