Butterfly Takeoff at 2,000 Frames per Second

Our charming host, Destin from the fun science channel on YouTube, Smarter Every Day always had the impression that butterflies were not the greatest of flyers – until he went to the Amazon rainforest to photograph pretty local butterflies at 2,000 frames per second…the majesty and grace of a butterfly’s flight is revealed when one views it from a different perspective in time.
