Peter Boghossian, assistant professor of Philosophy at Portland State University and co-author of ‘How to Have Impossible Conversations’ joins Jan Jekielek of American Thought Leaders.
A lifelong liberal and critic of former President Trump, Boghossian believes describing people as Liberal or Conservative is losing utility. He sees it as the wokesters versus those who believe in freedom of thought and I agree with him there.
He says, “We are facing an extraordinarily intolerant dangerous ideology, perpetuated by people who want to rob us of our cognitive liberty.”
Being that Boghossian teaches in the Antifa capital of the USA, he’s really in the thick of it and he’s coming at it from the standpoint of a Philosophy professor teaching 20 year olds but in my opinion, he’s missing the forest for the trees.
Boghossian doesn’t get that when the major corporations and the entire Mainstream Media are referring to the Georgia voter law as “Jim Crow”, akin to the oppressive racial segregation laws overturned in the 1960s, it’s clear that what we’re dealing with is not an issue of woke mass hysteria. We’re dealing with highly-orchestrated Corporate Communism and a very heavily-astroturfed Cultural Revolution.
He thinks academe has become illogical and capricious. He doesn’t get that we’re in a 4th generational war.
Yes, many of his students and Antifa members are suffering from mass hysteria but this is because they’ve been successfully influenced and manipulated by legions of CCP- and Soros-financed agent provocateurs, in an information-psychological-unrestricted war being run by the Globalists, who are now perversely trying to foist the China Model onto the Constitutional Republic of the United States of America.
We saw what happened last week, when major corporations like Coca-Cola and Delta Airlines invoked wokeness to pull up stakes from Georgia, as “punishment” for the recent voting legislation passed there, that requires ID to prevent a reprise of the unchained fraud that occurred last November.
We are in the final leg of the Long March through all of our institutions that culminated in the complete collapse of our legal system last January.
It doesn’t matter if the American Left was hijacked or if it was always secretly about abolishing the Constitution, because that’s what it is today! It’s as serious as cancer and we need marshal all of our cognitive skills to address this honestly and decisively.
The first rule of war is to know that you’re in one (“Know thy enemy”). The sooner we begin implementing Decommunization, the better and what that means for him – and where I agree with him again – is de-funding the university system that’s been the breeding ground of the cognitive virus of wokeness that will devour our civilization if it is not loudly rejected and stopped dead in its tracks.
