Is UFO Disclosure upon us?
Both FoxNews and HuffPo have recently reported about an essay written by Winston Churchill about his belief in the possibility extraterrestrial life.
His papers had been in the possession of his publisher’s widow before they were donated to the Winston Churchill Museum in Fulton, Missouri in the 1980s but it was only last year that this museum asked Israeli astrophysicist, Mario Livio to review Churchill’s essay, written in 1939.
The result was a paper written by Dr. Livio, published by one of the most important science journals in the world, Nature, in which Dr. Livio describes Churchill’s passion for science and technology and his thoughts about alien life.
Churchill wrote, “I, for one am not so immensely impressed by the success we are making of our civilization, here that I am prepared to think that we are the only spot in this immense universe which contains living, thinking creatures, or that we are the highest type of mental and physical development that has ever appeared in this vast compass of space and time.”
Churchill made minor revisions to the essay in the 1950s. The essay title was changed from, “Are We Alone in Space?” to “Are We Alone in the Universe?”
Oddly enough, the public cannot read the actual essay Churchill wrote, due to copyright issues. Curators are working to remedy this.
The upshot of this development is that speculation about extraterrestrial life is not just for the Tinfoil Hat Community but also for one of the most lauded personalities of the 20th century.
Of course, it makes one wonder what he knew, when he wrote this essay during the height of World War Two conflicts. It is known that there were many, many UFO sightings globally during this deadly conflagration.
