Rumor has it that in the ’80s, the U.S. military was developing the Aurora plane, a top-secret stealth bomber that could travel six times faster than the speed of sound. Additionally, it featured total radar invisibility.
Original designs call for two roles for the Aurora: reconnaissance at low altitudes, and bombings at high altitudes. As a consequences, it had to be fast but also capable of traveling very slow, low to the ground.
