The White Mountain Abduction 2005

This is a rarely-seen documentary created in 2005 by well-known skeptical Ufologist, Stanton Friedman and Kathleen Marden, a social scientist and the niece of Betty Hill.

The case of Betty and her husband Barney Hill is noted as the first ever studied “alien abduction” phenomenon. It occurred in 1961, as they drove home to Portsmouth, New Hampshire from Canada one evening.

Although their memories of the events had been erased and they did not discover what had happened for several years, they did notice that they’d arrived home over three hours later than they’d expected. Also, Betty’s dress was torn and Barney’s shoes were scuffed.

After years of nightmares and evidence of Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, the couple sought help, to discover what had occurred during the blank spot in their memory. They were referred by a fellow member of their church to a respected hypnotherapist, who had helped many veterans of war.

What they discovered would shock them and the world, when their story was eventually written into a bestselling book, ‘The Interrupted Journey’, by John Fuller, later made into the 1975 film, ‘The UFO Incident’, starring James Earl Jones.

Several thousand others came forward with similar experiences in the following decades.
