As we saw last Wednesday, there was very little that Robert Mueller could speak to during his testimony, in large part because so much is tied up in other DOJ investigations and trials.
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote that a “little birdie” told me President Trump had made those obnoxious tweets about the four freshmen congresswomen against the advice of his staff, because he *wants* to be impeached. He wants there to be a legal trial, in order for certain documents currently being held up from release by the FBI and the CIA to be read into the public record as exhibits.
However, Trump’s “go home” tweets at The Squad didn’t cause the impeachment-forcing debacle many expected. As offensive as they were, the tweets paled in comparison to the unending abuse to which Trump has been subjected by the DNC media for the past 4 years, along with the disturbing anti-Americanism that has been mainstreamed by the Democrat presidential candidates. This, many people unexpectedly took Trump’s side in this latest Twitter snafu with the Four Horsewomen of the Democalypse.
Chris Wray’s FBI has repeatedly blocked the release of the Comey memos and the IG Report has been delayed till October, due to the expansion of its scope but there are rumors that Dan Coats will step down as Director of National Intelligence very soon, allowing the DECLAS of everything pertaining to the illegal FISA warrants that enabled the Obama Administration to spy on erstwhile Trump Campaign foreign policy adviser, Carter Page.
There was something else a little birdie told me a couple of weeks ago, just as the corporate media were exploding over Trump’s “go home” tweets: the intelligence establishment will not let go of their Russian hacking narrative, no matter what.
The Republican congressmen who questioned Robert Mueller last week appear to understand this. For all of the heroics demonstrated by John Ratcliffe, Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes and others, the most fundamental – and the most questionable – assumption of the Mueller Investigation was never challenged during his 7-hour deposition: that the DNC server was hacked by Russia. This assumption, so central to the Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax and so patently flimsy retained its status as an immutable law of the universe throughout the session.
With former NSA officer Bill Binney having long since proven that the data transfer rate of the breach was too fast to have been accomplished remotely, the speed matching that of having been physically downloaded to a thumbdrive; and given the fact that the DNC not only ignored the FBI’s subpoena to examine the server but had their contractor, CrowdStrike destroy it would indicate that their claims of Russian hacking are not in good faith.
How was the Russian hacking myth allowed to go unchallenged, let alone unmentioned by congressional Republicans?
