“The Island of Lost Souls” was the first film adaption of H.G. Wells’ “The Island of Dr. Moreau.” It’s the story of a twisted scientist on a small island running abhorent surgeries on animals.
Using blood transfusion, exposure to electromagnetic rats, plastic surgery and gland extracts, Dr. Moreau is able to transform a panther into a woman.
When a traveler becomes stranded on the island, Moreau tries to hook him up with the cat woman to see if his creation could breed with humans.
