This is a well-made Swedish documentary about the WikiLeaks story that is more informative and is entirely lacking in the rank Anglo-American toadyism on display in the recently-released Hollywood version of the story, starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
It starts with an exploration of the Icelandic bank collapse, where the local currency was devalued 17/18ths overnight. This was found to have occurred, due to endemic cronism and a total lack of transparency in the Icelandic banking industry.
Julian Assange cited this as an example of the ills that can befall a society lacking in transparency.
What about a country, such as the US, which has been in the merciless grip of the National Security Act, since 1947?
