Over the past decade, U.S. soldiers have operated on the front lines of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
During that time, Americans have developed a low tolerance for their soldiers coming home dead. Also, soldiers are surrounded by an overwhelming amount of new technology as a part of their normal lives.
The Pentagon is building an army of unmanned systems — machines with autonomous capabilities. What will this new era of warfare look like? Do the legal structures exist to deal with these new killer robots?
