If you’ve ever traveled to the sketchier fringes of this “lonely planet” and visited places that are off the easy tourist map (and certainly far from where any major cruise ship will take you), then you may have noticed that many German tourists will have already beaten you to your unheard-of destination!
This is what I began noticing, when I was a small child, visiting Macchu Picchu in the early ’70s (my mother is a traveling fiend; she has been almost everywhere – the sketchier, the better).
And this excellent DIY short video was put together by the intrepid German traveler, Hartwig Hausdorf.
