This 2013 film, OBEY by British filmmaker, Temujin Doran is based on the book, The Death of the Liberal Class by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Chris Hedges.
This film about you, me and the routine of obedience. It is an attempt to show what it means to be obedient, at a time in which our habits will shape a world, in which we will no longer wish to live.
It explores the rise of the corporate state and the future of obedience in a world filled with unfettered capitalism, worsening inequality and environmental changes.
Its predictions have almost come true.
