Elon commented on his plans for Twitter while at the Met Gala in New York City.
He said he wants to make Twitter as “broadly-inclusive as possible and as trusted as possible” and to have more people on it, engaging in dialogue with one another.
He says he wants to make the code open-source so that people can offer improvements and also to serve as proof that nothing is being manipulated, so that users won’t “ascribe to malice to that which is not malicious.”
I’m still not going on it. I’ve lived just fine without Twitter. No thanks!
What a great phrase!
Going open source still doesn’t tell much.
For example, an app for user client side could be open source, but what about the server side?
Let’s see if he’ll try to collect our data such as phone number / two factor authentication/ IP address and so on, then we’ll get some more idea.
