Non-Attachment vs Detachment

Buddhist teacher, Amir Mourad describes how “Detachment” is a kind of spiritual selfishness and one of the potential downfalls of Buddhism, known as a “Hinayana Path,” which is considered to be deficient.

Mourad explains that to be “Non-Attached” means you can be freely engaged without being attached; it does not mean to ignore the suffering of others. He says that to deny the suffering of others is a spiritual error.
