NASA is trying to develop faster-than-light travel, the “warp drive” as seen on “Star Trek.” DARPA and NASA’s 100 Year Starship Symposium is trying to make interstellar travel a reality within the next century.
Harold “Sonny” White, the current team lead of the NASA jet propulsion laboratory, said that new tech may be able to get around the speed of light. Instead of trying to go fast, by shifting space-time.
Mexican physicist Miguel Alcubierre backs White up, having modeled the transportation of flat space inside curved space.
