Mike Davis: Twitter Must Answer for Mass Surveillance of Americans, Chuck Grassley Is Man to Do It

Twitter’s former cybersecurity chief, Peiter Zatko aka “Mudge” testified before Iowa Sen Chuck Grassley and the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. He told them that in his role at Twitter, he was in charge of information security, privacy engineering, physical security, information technology and Twitter global support.

Mudge said, “I’m here today, because Twitter leadership is misleading the public, lawmakers, regulators and even its own board of directors.”

Steve Bannon says to Mike Davis, “It’s not even a company, it’s an intelligence platform that’s all bots – but why is the CEO not being grilled by Grassley?”

Mike replies that Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal was asked to attend but he begged-off, claiming that his impending case with Elon Musk impeded him from testifying.

On Bannon’s show recently, Darren Beattie described Twitter as “An absolute cesspool for influence operations from intelligence agencies…[Twitter’s] chief value is it serves as a platform for various intelligence agencies and other nefarious operatives to influence public opinion, often through entirely deceptive and artificial means, by creating various bot networks and so forth.”

Mike Davis reminds all of us that it is so critical that the Senate maintain a Republican majority, because if not, such vital investigations as Sen Grassley has been doing will no longer occur – and any hope of accountability along with it.
