Happened in 2019 in Austria: a Tesla had a car accident and caught fire, which could not be extinguished by any means.
The firefighters had to bring an extra-large metal container, filled with water, to the place of accident and place the car inside. It kept smoldering under water for another three days.
After that, it turned out to be a huge problem for the friendly owner of the scrap yard, where they borrowed the container: the wreck and the surrounding water were deemed to be highly toxic special waste which was prohibited from normal recycling.
Nobody wanted to have the wreck, the owner of the scrap yard took a lawyer and tried to force Tesla to come get it.
This incident was the first of its kind and highlighted the problems you have when your Tesla catches fire.
