FBI Front Companies Operating Surveillance Planes

The FBI has established fictitious front companies to operate a fleet of low-flying airplanes that engage in mass cellphone surveillance of Americans. Reporters at the Associated Press, piggybacking off of an independent investigation by 23-year-old Sam Richards, can attest to a recent one-month period during which the FBI conducted aerial investigations over 30 cities in 11 states.

While the FBI does not require a warrant to videotape citizens walking around outside, the agency claims it requires a warrant to identify cellphone users.
