When a huge comet exploded over the Earth 13,000 years ago, it formed a chain of fragments, similar to what was seen when Comet Shoemaker-Levy was stretched apart by the gravitational pull of Jupiter.

It may very well have looked like a fiery serpent flying through the sky.

Was this disaster the origin of all the myths and legends about a fire-breathing dragon or a winged serpent. This documentary explores sites in the Amazon that may have been the source of the legends of El Dorado, the City of Gold.
