Brazilian Crime Gangs Working with Hezbollah and the Italian Mafia

Throughout the four years of the fake Biden administration, the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah ran amok in Brazil, trafficking drugs and laundering money through the remote border region of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

Brazil’s Communist president Lula had previously refused to label the largest criminal gangs in the country as “terrorist organizations”. However, as apparent evidence of the Trump administration’s work behind the scenes, the Secretary of Public Security for the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, Victor César dos Santos says he’s delivered a dossier to the US Department of State and the US Consulate with information about the proven ties between two of Brazil’s biggest crime gangs with Hezbollah and the Italian Mafia.

Of course, Brazil’s answer is more bureaucracy, to increase the power of the State and to seize peoples’ weapons, which were previously legalized under President Bolsonaro.

Host, Nelson Kobayashi: In an interview with Jovem Pan, the Secretary of Public Security of Rio de Janeiro confirmed the existence of a report that points to the connection of Brazilian and international criminal factions. Check it out with Misael Mainetti.

Reporter, Misael Mainetti: Victor César dos Santos, Secretary of Public Security of Rio de Janeiro, confirmed the involvement of the Red Command and the PCC with the terrorist group Hezbollah and the Italian Mafia.

In an interview with Jovem Pan News journalist Teresa Morrone, the Secretary explained more about the recent delivery of a dossier to the US Department of State and the US Consulate with this information.

According to him, the goal is to advance in the fight against crime, especially money-laundering, and thus guarantee the tracking of accounts abroad.

Secretary dos Santos: What is proven is the connection of the Red Command a Maoist gang and the PCC with international terrorist organizations and also with the Italian Mafia.

So, in this intelligence report, we were able to prove this relationship between the Brazilian criminal organizations with American and Italian ones. Not only the relationship, but also the criminal acts practiced in both countries.

Misael Mainetti: The Secretary of Public Security of Rio de Janeiro also commented on the decision of the Supreme Federal Court that determined that the State of Rio and its municipalities should develop recovery plans for the territories controlled by criminal organizations.

Secretary dos Santos: The Supreme Federal Court already understands that the Municipality and the State of Rio de Janeiro, together with the federal government must participate jointly in the return of this territory. Why? Because the State has to make itself fully present and not only for security, as has been done for many years.

The recovery will be not only through policing, but on a social level. Other services have to reach the community. In order for the community to be free of the criminal element, the State has to be there. And it has to be there fully, bringing education, health and security.

Misael Mainetti: Victor César dos Santos also defended the participation of the people, in initiatives such as the Jovem Pan News’ campaign, Chega de Violência (“Stop the Violence”).

Secretary dos Santos: The people’s participation is very important. When we have this participation, we begin to have an idea of the size of the problem. Many crimes are under-reported.

Misael Mainetti: The seizure of weapons is one of the Secretary’s main concerns. Only in the first three months of this year, the security forces seized about 1,500 firearms, including 230 rifles.

Nelson Kobayashi: Dr Eduardo Maurício, the issue is the connection of Brazilian factions with names that we hear from the other side of the world, in the Middle East; Hezbollah, terrorist factions. How should we now face the fight against organized crime in Brazil, knowing that there is this connection with these terrorist entities in the Middle East?

Criminal Lawyer, Dr Eduardo Maurício: The development of international legal cooperation is of utmost importance. In a situation like this, if there is a well-established, effective cooperation between countries, when not aggravated by bureaucracy, can be more highly-effective and consequently improve the fight – and even the prevention – of this type of transnational crime.

I also highlight the importance of updates. For example, currently, there’s a Silver Notice. What is a Silver Notice? It is an inclusion in Interpol that facilitates countries to seek the freezing of assets of people who are involved in a police inquiry, a police investigation, and who have connections with foreigners.

Therefore, it is important to institutionalize a more effective international legal cooperation to fight and prevent this type of transnational crime, and also for Brazil to be updated on the news of this type of crime.
