Barack Obama has been traveling the world and obsessively talking about “Deep Fake” videos everywhere that he stumps. He seems to be trying to get ahead of the release any video that might to show him doing or saying something that he will claim he did not do.
This video shows what he’s talking about. Footage of comedian Bill Hader on the Conan O’Brien late night comedy show is used. Hader’s face slowly starts to morph into Arnold Schwarzenegger’s face, while he impersonates the former California governor. The full transformation takes several seconds and it honestly seems like magic.
Some claim that videos of the coup plotters doing nasty things will be made public and their defenders will say these are just “Deep Fakes”. Still others will claim that NSA has developed a technology that can ascertain with total accuracy whether an image has been doctored or not.
