This is a vastly important interview with Apple Co-Founder, Steve Wozniak about the importance of government regulations against corporatist thievery of our rights, as they manifest in bills like CYSPA, SOPA, PIPA and other corporate-sponsored legislation which would limit our rights on the Internet.
Wozniak notes that, “Conservatives and Libertarians think that government shouldn’t have any say in [the Internet], that takes away our freedom. Wrong. It takes away the freedom of the companies that are taking away the freedoms from us. Every freedom we have in the United States – Every one of them – was given buy a Congressional Regulation. It’s called The Bill of Rights…there are times when is a government regulation that will say ‘You will not impede with the neutrality of the users.”
