We’ve been showing a lot of baby animals in the mornings (to lighten things up…while we slouch toward WW3…)
But today’s offering has baby humans who can dance their butts off, in a way that only Afro-enhanced Latinos can! And Boy, can these little tykes dance!
Salsa is a popular form of social dance that originated in New York in the mid-1970s with strong influences from Latin America, particularly Cuba and Puerto Rico.
These dance moves are a fragmentary, living archeology of African-American history, which still lives with gusto, in the music and dance traditions of the Americas, North. South and Caribbean. (NB: Archeology is the study of human activity in the past – not only about digging things out of the ground).
