A Japanese scientist has developed the first steaks based on proteins from human excrement. He reports that, after all, sewage mud contains a great deal of protein.
These researchers wanted to know if they could extract the protein to make their own meat substitute. Sewage mud, which are killed by heat in manufacturing, is rich in bacteria.
The artificial steak, it is said, even tastes like beef — particularly when soy protein is added.
