As of this writing, in 10 states, raw milk is illegal for sale, even for consumption by nonhuman animals. In only 10 states is the retail sale of raw milk legal. On the back of his findings, illustrated in this clip, early 20th century dentist Weston Price left a foundation that promotes raw milk as carrying unique dental and orthodontic benefits.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Food and Drug Administration disagree with this assessment, claiming the pasteurization process “does not significantly change the nutritional value of milk” and that consumption of raw milk poses a “severe health risk.”
