At the time of this taping, California was on the verge of becoming the second state, after Vermont to call for a Constitutional Amendment banning corporate personhood and getting money out of politics. About two weeks later, it was a done deal.

It sounds impossible but 2 states, out of a necessary 33 have already jumped through the many hoops needed to make this happen.

Wolf-PAC aims to lobby state legislators to pass resolutions calling for a Convention of the States, under Article Five of the US Constitution. If this convention is formed, the aim is then to pass an amendment to the United States Constitution that would end corporate personhood and have all elections in the United States be publicly financed. It would become the 28th Amendment.

Every generation has passed at least one Constitutional Amendment. Now it’s our turn, especially in light of the lameness of the most recently-passed, 27th Amendment, in 1992 (which was submitted for ratification in 1789, taking almost 203 years to be ratified), which “Delays laws affecting Congressional salary from taking effect until after the next election of representatives.”

Wolf-Pac was founded by the Turkish-American host of the most popular news channel on the Internet TYT (“The Young Turks”), Cenk Uygur.

Cenk (pronounced “Jenk”) was born in Istambul and immigrated with his parents at the age of 8 to the US, where he became a naturalized US Citizen and grew up in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He attended the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School (like my late father) and then went on to earn a law degree from Columbia University.

With the latest Gallup Poll showing a 7% approval rating among Americans of the US Congress, this suggests that 93% should be moved to get behind this movement, before it’s too late and the US becomes a failed state.

Cenk says this latest step in California is only one of many and that Wolf-Pac needs your help.

He asks all Americans to join Wolf-Pac in this fight: “Get up, get loud and get money out of politics.”

Your country needs you.
