SkyRunner is a dune buggy and a power parachute in one. After almost three years in development, it is on track to hit the market later this year.
Although originally conceived as a sport enthusiast vehicle, somewhat like a jetski of the skies, it has unexpectedly drawn the attention of farmers and ranchers of large properties as a cheaper alternative to buying or hiring helicopters. Although it’s capable of flying at an altitude of 15,000 feet (4,572 meters), one must have a Light Sport Pilot’s License to fly above 10,000 feet (3,048 meters) in the US.
