TED Blurb: “Environmental scientist David Keith proposes a cheap, effective, shocking means to address climate change: What if we injected a huge cloud of ash into the atmosphere to deflect sunlight and heat?”

Dr. Keith argues that volcanoes have done this naturally, mainly with sulfur particles. In this TED talk and the gist of his scientific paper, “Geoengineering the Climate: Science, Governance and Uncertainty,” he says that geoengineering has suffered from excessive secrecy and that it needs to be openly discussed and that international treaties need to be put into place ASAP to prevent one government from unilaterally making a decision about how to proceed with what may be the quickest, least expensive way to manage elevated CO2 levels in the Earth’s atmosphere.

The scientific community generally agrees that the rapid increase of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are the result of industrial emissions that are causing the polar ice to melt, the extinction of Arctic animals and the great likelihood that many of the world’s capitals will be flooded under hundreds of feet of water from this melted polar ice.

From the standpoint of Dr. Keith and other proponents of “chemtrails,” the risks posed to human health by aluminum particulates are far outweighed by the specter of “Global Warming.”
